Commuter Benefits

Our Commuter Program is administered by P&A Group.

The Commuter Program allows you to pay for eligible transportation expenses to and from work with pre-tax dollars conveniently deducted through your paycheck. These funds can be used to pay for Parking and Mass Transit costs associated with travel to and from work.

Eligible expenses include costs for mass transportation: including subway, bus, train, ferry, or vanpool. Toll and carpooling expenses do not qualify for reimbursement.

Using the P&A Group Debit Card

After enrolling in the P&A Group commuter program for the first time, a debit card will be mailed to your home. If you also enroll in the P&A Group Health FSA, you will be able to use the one debit card for Health FSA and Commuter expenses.

Important: IRS regulations do not allow for transit claims to be reimbursed with a claim form.

  • You must use your debit card for all transit purchases.
  • Parking services can be paid for out of pocket and reimbursed with a claim form.

Rollover feature
The IRS “Use It or Lose It” rule does not apply to the Commuter Program. Funds left in your account at the end of the year will be carried over to the following year.
